What to Do in Valencia When It’s Hot?

Hint: Get Out of There

Valencia in summer can feel like stepping into a steam bath with 70% humidity, but don’t worry — you can still have a great time. After visiting a friend who moved to a small town near Valencia, I was determined to explore the best things to do when the heat is too much. From enjoying the local food scene to escaping to beautiful beaches, natural parks, and scenic mountain viewpoints, here’s how you can cool off in Valencia during the hottest days.

Things to do in Seville in October

This October, I’m setting off on an adventure to Seville, reconnecting with an old friend from my New York days. She’s just bought a house there, and I’ll be helping her settle in as we explore the city and its stunning surroundings together.

Our plans include visiting the white villages and Ronda, the Rock of Gibraltar, the Alhambra Palace, the Alcázar Palace, and maybe even hiking the Caminito del Rey.

I’m already excited and can’t wait to share the stories with you. Stay tuned.

Those are a few options I’m considering:

Glorious Derbyshire countryside part 1

Buxton nature walks, exquisite Opera house and Buxton Carnival

In the beginning of July, I sent my son off to England to refine his football skills at a development summer camp.
As a parent, I wanted to stay within hailing distance, but also yearned for a slice of idyllic English countryside. So, I decided to find my own little haven in Buxton in the Peak District.
Buxton, nestled in Derbyshire County, is a charming town steeped in Roman history and serves up quite a scenic feast with its historic buildings and stunning landscapes.

A taste of India part 1

Delhi, Kochi, waterfalls and monkeys in Munnar Hill Station

In October, after work was done, I extended a business trip to India to spend a few days travelling in Munnar, Kerala. I did not have much time, so I hired a local driver, which turned out to be a wise decision because I managed to see so much in practically three days, and I did so in the comfort of an air-conditioned car while it was 33°C outside.
I definitely want to return to India to experience more of this beautiful, unique country rich in history and wildlife.
